Inspired by Populous, God Complex revives that god game charm.
But we made it online multiplayer.
It’s like Civilization, but the little people are autonomous. You don’t control them directly. They have minds of their own!
Watch this video to see me try to explain what a god game is… and why I thought making one might be fun.
You’re probably here because you saw my post in social media about our game, God Complex.
We’re still working on the game, but when we are ready to invite beta testers, you will be the first to hear.
Initially, I’m only pulling beta testers from my mailing list. This is the only way to play God Complex before anyone else.
Save your spot by registering below.
I also will be sharing development progress as the beta nears. Expect 1 email per month. It will be cool screenshots and fresh details about the game.
Hi! I’m Colin. I make playful, experimental games with a dash of strategy, charm, and playfulness.
From time to time, I’m aided by a small team. A lot of the time, it’s just me.
On God Complex, I had some help. My daughter, Valerie, crafted the 3D art; working with her to bring the little people to life was so much fun. We also got coding help from Mihai Ortan.
If you’re in Austin, I hang out most Tuesdays for open coworking at the Capital Factory, in downtown. Come along – I’d love to meet you.
